Our purpose in action
At NewDay, we are driven by our purpose to help people move forward with credit. But we also believe that our purpose extends beyond the products we offer – that we have a responsibility to support the communities we serve, and society in general, to help them to move forward.
Our community partner, Family Action

Working in partnership to drive impact together
NewDay are proud to be Family Action’s longest standing corporate partner, having supported them since 2016. Family Action closely shares our vision to help create forward progression in people’s lives, providing practical, emotional and financial support to strengthen communities and improve opportunities.

I am so proud of the partnership we have with NewDay – our longest standing partner. We have a strong shared purpose – together we work to transform lives and to help people experiencing poverty and disadvantage to move forward.
David Holmes CBE Chief Executive at Family Action
NewDay supports Family Action in a wide variety of ways – including staff fundraising challenges, volunteering, gifts in kind as well as regular donations to our work. This generous support makes a huge difference to communities up and down the country. We look forward to working together in the coming years and further developing our brilliant partnership.

Impact powered by our people
Our colleagues are driven to make an impact in our communities. Our Charity Committee consists of inspired and motivated colleagues who actively promote and organise various fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
In 2022, NewDay colleagues dived in to support some incredible initiatives including:
- the London to Paris Bike Ride and Tough Mudder, which saw 10 colleagues support Family Action, raising over £20k from individual donations;
- over 2,350 Christmas presents were donated to vulnerable families and supported Family Action’s ‘Make Theirs Magic’ Christmas appeal;
- almost 30 NewDay colleagues volunteered at Family Action’s London FOOD Clubs throughout November and December 2022. Each volunteer worked to pack food and distribute it to families, giving almost 100 hours of time to support the programme. Family Action’s FOOD Clubs.
Whether it's walking to raise money, taking part in a charity challenge (this year we're doing a 3 Peaks Challenge) or buying gifts for children who might not normally get one at Christmas - the engagement and passion of our colleagues have for our community partnerships is extraordinary.
